Home surf was at first a handmade fanzine, a "do it yourself" kind of thing, homemade with glue and scotch tape. It dealt with surfing, skating, snowboarding and hanging up with friends.

Friends were at least the most important thing (because friends are the first people viewing your work and because there is always a difference between riding alone and with your mates!!) Home surf was a reason to travel more, to meet people and to share experiences.

Now H.s. is not on paper any more. In some kind of way, it's easier to have a webzine: nice pictures (in color), an easy way to edit articles, no cost… On other way, it's sometimes difficult to use web tools but it can offer new possibilities like editing videos and have interactivity!

But it's not so important that home surf passed from paper to digital. It's just a different way to build the thing. Home surf is a place where we put the things we feel good enough to do something with. It's because I like to catch a picture of someone vibrating when he rides, I like to listen to someone's intense experience and because I want to share these moments of truth that I do home surf.

Home surf is not an exclusive place, we have contributors, we share the same spirit. If you want to join us, send some pictures, some movies, some stories…

On each part of this site, you'll find what we called "articles". It's not proper articles, as we use to say. An article sometime arises from an idea, a feeling, an experiment. It can be an interface presenting a subject. So don't be so surprised if you don't find any text or any picture but be curious and be mindful of details.
