I spent a couple of days snowboarding in February. Because it was pretty short, I didn't manage enough time to see Adrien. I only gave him few calls and just before I leave, he told me he hurt his knee after a jump. This year, he was carrying snowboarder groups to teach them some tricks. But in snowboard, even if we are the teacher, we may injure. And that's what happened to Adrien. But he told me, it wasn't a big thing. Doctors told him to spend a couple of weeks at home taking care of his knee and everything would be all right.
I came back snowboarding in March. The snow was melting because of the good weather but I was really happy to snowboard spring condition. Several weeks had passed and I gave a call to Adrien in order to have a session together. But he told me it was not possible because the next day, he had to go to hospital for an operation on his knee.
I felt so sorry and really uncomfortable. He told me, that after some deeper examinations, doctors advised him his knee needed an operation. I felt some kind of fear in his voice. But it was not really fear, but pain. I try the best to comfort him, to tell him to not worry, that today knee's operation was something pushed to the highest level. He told me he knew that; that wasn't his first operation and anyway it wasn't the hardest knee's operation but he simply was anxious.
